Leaving the boat at a dealer sounds Turn-key until the yard is full and your hull sits through the season you paid to fish. On-site install is the other path: we travel, we mount the engine, you keep the boat at home.
It is a paid extra. We quote after we see the hull. It is never buried inside the motor price. That is the whole point.
What "we travel and mount it" actually means
- You keep the boat. No three-month back-lot storage during tarpon, walleye, or Gulf season.
- We see the transom, controls, and how you load the boat before we quote install. That is how you avoid a shade-tree surprise.
- The catalog motor price stays the catalog motor price. Install and freight sit on their own lines.
When you should still use a local bay
If the hull needs structural transom work, or the controls are a science project, we will say so. On-site install is not a magic trick for a rotten stringer. It is for owners who want a new Yamaha or Mercury hung without surrendering the boat to a dealer calendar.
